The Communication Policy Research South (CPRsouth) conference on "Transformation Strategies for Telecom Operators", will take place from December 5-7, 2008 in Beijing, China. CPRsouth3 will offer researchers an opportunity to discuss their research on ICT regulation and policy in the South with a policy-oriented, international audience and obtain useful feedback.
A training session on media interaction will also be held for participants. Alongside the conference, tutorial sessions will be held for Young Scholars on the fundamentals of technology, markets, regulation and policy. The conference is designed to accommodate 21 paper presenters over the course of 2.5 days, and the audience will comprise 70-80 scholars involved in the field of ICT policy and regulation, broadly defined, including 30 Young Scholars.
